Spend a day at the beach! Located right at Three Valley Lake Chateau is a nice sandy beach for great swimming. Bring your own equipment for water skiing, sailing, wind surfing, canoeing and fishing for several different types of trout.

In the summer months of May-August Glacier Helicopters operates sightseeing tours at Three Valley Lake Chateau. They offer Helicopter Sightseeing Tours, heli-weddings, heli-hiking, heli-fishing, photography, and charter services.

The Three Valley Gap Heritage Ghost Town is the conservation effort of founder Gordon Bell’s family and exhibits a valuable piece of Canadian history.

Today, mining equipment from French Creek, including a unique porcupine boiler and steam engines and drill, is on display at the Ghost Town.

Daily guided tours lead guests through the 1908 pioneer town, and include a stop at the popular Golden Wheel Saloon, an authentic 19th century bar. The tour also includes the historic three-story Hotel Bellevue originally from Sicamous in the Okanagan. There is also a general store, barbershop, school, blacksmith shop, tobacco store, jewellery store, trappers’ cabin, Finnish sauna house, church, jail, and furniture repair shop.

Three Valley Gap and the nearby town of Revelstoke were originally created when the ambitious project of forging a transportation route to the west was conceived and the Canada ’s first trans-continental railroad became the thread that would tie the young country together.

Transportation is what started the growth of B.C., and some of the earliest modes and conveyances are displayed at Gordon Bell’s Three Valley Gap Heritage Ghost Town.

Part of the tour of the turn-of-the-century town includes a stop at the Antique Auto Museum, with automobiles from 1902 through 1929. The collection of restored autos includes the first mass produced car in North America, the 1902 Curved Dash Olds.

You can also see both private and commercial buggies and wagons, used to transport coal, lumber, fuel, oil, gravel and groceries up until 1945, on display at the Buggy and Wagon Shop.

Located at Revelstoke Airport, 25km from the Three Valley Lake Chateau

The Mt. Revelstoke National Park main park entrance is located 20km east of the Three Valley Lake Chateau, on Hwy #1 at Revelstoke. Meadows in the Sky Parkway is a 26km road winding up into the mountainside, leading to the Mt. Revelstoke summit. Park at Balsam Lake and walk or take the free shuttle bus up the last 2km to the summit area. Offering lush rainforests and sub alpine wildflower landscapes, Mt. Revelstoke National Park is alive with colour and beauty. The shuttle runs from 10:00am to 4:20pm daily throughout the summer. The parkway is open during the mountain's snow free months, usually mid-July to mid-October.

The Revelstoke Hydro Dam is located 5 km north of Revelstoke on Highway #23 north, 24 km from Three Valley Lake Chateau. The Revelstoke Dam is Canada’s second generating project on the Columbia River and one of four dams in B.C. that regulate the flow of the Columbia. Three of the dams, Mica, Hugh Keenleyside and Duncan, were built as a result of the Columbia River Treaty, signed by Canada and the United States in 1964. The treaty dams provided badly needed flood control; made development of power plants possible on the Columbia River and its tributaries in B.C.; and increased the potential for power generation at plants in the United States.

Located 4km north of Revelstoke on Hwy #23 North, 23km from Three Valley Lake Chateau, is the BC Interior Forestry Museum. See displays and machinery, visit the gift shop and look through the Vintage Fire Lookout Station. Open seven days a week during the summer season.

Located 19 kilometres east of Three Valley Lake Chateau in Revelstoke. The Firefighters Museum features a 1923 International Bickel, Revelstoke’s first fire truck. A photographic archive and other pieces of firefighting memorabilia are exhibited here.

Located 19 km east of Three Valley Lake Chateau on 1st Street in Revelstoke. The Revelstoke Museum and Archives is the former Post Office and Customs building, constructed in 1926. This beautiful, brick heritage building has been home to the museum and archives since 1974. The collection focuses on all aspects of the history of Revelstoke and district.

Blanket Creek Provincial Park is located 25 km south of Revelstoke on Highway #23 south, 45 km from the Three Valley Lake Chateau. This Provincial Park features the 12 metre high Sutherland Falls, as well as remains of a long deserted farm site. The Monashee Mountains are to the west. The park is an old homestead located where Blanket Creek enters the Columbia River. From here, the mighty river empties into Upper Arrow Lake on its way south. The park offers good lake and stream fishing for Dolly Varden, Kokanee and rainbow trout. In fall, Kokanee spawn at the mouth of the creek.

Located 20 km north of Revelstoke on Hwy #23 North, 39 km from the Three Valley Lake Chateau. Great fishing, a wharf, paved boat launch and campsites on the reservoir are four lures that make this park popular with local anglers. The only provincial park on the Revelstoke reservoir, it hosts one of the few sandy beaches in the area and provides playground opportunities including an adventure playground, indoor cook shelter and a large picnic field complete with volleyball net and horseshoe pitch. Lake Revelstoke offers great fishing for Dolly, trout, and Kokanee.

Arrow Lake is located 50km south of Revelstoke on Hwy #23 South, 69km from Three Valley Lake Chateau. Arrow Lake is a great place to fish for rainbow trout, Dolly and Kokanee.

Nakusp Hot Springs is located 127 km from Three Valley Lake Chateau. Drive south of Revelstoke on Hwy #23 and enjoy the free ferry across Arrow Lake. The Nakusp Hot Springs are 8km up a mountain pass from the town of Nakusp. Open year round, the hot springs offer something for everyone. Enjoy the soothing mineral waters, and kick back in British Columbia's cleanest of springs - where the waters are replenished daily.

Located 19km east of Three Valley Lake Chateau in Revelstoke. The Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre offers patrons and visitors exciting exhibitions of works in a variety of media by the area's many talented artists. The centre houses an art gallery as well as the Sophia Atkinson Art History Museum.

The Enchanted Forest is located 13 kilometres west of Three Valley Lake Chateau on the Trans Canada Highway. It began many years ago as the realization of a dream and has evolved over the years into a unique attraction that appeals to every age. The main trail of the Grand Forest provides the magical setting for over 350 Jolly Fairy Folk figurines.

Crazy Creek Waterfalls and Suspension Bridge is located on the Trans Canada Highway 18 kilometres west of Three Valley Lake Chateau. The grandeur of high mountain wilderness country is made more accessible by the newly constructed boardwalks leading to viewing platforms. Crazy Creek drains 119 sq km of mountain country, and it all converges at this gorge. The spectacular falls have two stages (approx. 100 feet) with a natural pool partway down. The waterfalls, and colours of the water, are a sight that is truly beautiful.

On Hwy #1, 22km west of Three Valley Lake Chateau, you'll find one of Canada's most irreplacable and endearing attractions - Beardale Miniatureland. Meticulously handcrafted model villages, complete with working trains and model cable cars, this park-like setting features an extraordinary world of miniature towns, model railways and colourful fantasyland characters all "in motion." Highlights include a 1950’s Canadian Prairie town, Medieval German Town, English Tudor Village, Swiss Mountain Village, Last Spike Heritage Display, Haida Fishing Village, and a Japanese Temple and Sand Garden. Located 28 kilometres west on the Trans Canada Highway from Three Valley Lake Chateau is the historical last spike of the Trans Continental Railway. With the swing of a spike maul by the Hon. Donald Alexander Smith at Cragellachie, B.C. on November 7th, 1885, that single spike instantly became an important historic symbol. Not only did it represent the completion of the trans-continental railway, but it also meant an important step in the founding of a nation.

Located 30 kilometres west of Three Valley Chateau on the Trans Canada Highway is the Speed Way Fast Cars Go Karts. The Shuswap Speed Way Rub n Race Go Kart track provides serious Go Kart racing entertainment for the whole family - including the adult kids! Located 50 kilometres west on the Trans Canada Highway from Three Valley Lake Chateau, Eagle River Golf and Country Club has earned the reputation as a challenging golf course in the Okanagan. The fully-rated 9-hole golf course is located in the heart of the Shuswap Lakes region, in Sicamous, British Columbia. A picturesque golf course along the Eagle River, the immaculate greens beckon the most demanding putter. The water hazards and sand traps on this golf course are naturally located, posing a challenge to all golfers and impressing the eye with its design.

Located 50km west of Three Valley Lake Chateau, on the Trans Canada Highway #1. D Dutchman Dairy in Sicamous is a quaint little farm where they make their own delicious ice cream, have a free petting zoo, and picnic area.

At Sicamous, 50km west of Three Valley Lake Chateau, take time to enjoy a day on the lake. The Phoebe Ann paddlewheeler has long been a favorite of tourists and residents alike. Located on the waters of Shuswap Lake in Sicamous, the Phoebe Ann holds 39 passengers and offers daily cruises, tours and charters. The paddlewheeler is licensed and offers a full menu. Or let the Maid of the Narrows whisk you away. The maid holds up to 11 passengers and offers tours of various areas of the lake. Boat rentals of all sorts are also available, from kayaks to pedal boats to clipper canoes.

Located 115 kilometres west on the Trans Canada Highway from Three Valley Lake Chateau lies the Shuswap Estates Golf Course. The recently expanded 18 hole professionally designed championship course offers well bunkered, undulating greens, generous fairways and four beautiful lakes. This scenic course, Par 71, 6467 yards with three sets of tee boxes, provides a variety of challenges for both the accomplished and casual golfer. Practice facilities include a driving range, 2 practice greens, and practice sand bunkers.

The O’Keefe Ranch is located 126km from Three Valley Lake Chateau. Drive west on Hwy #1 to Sicamous, take 97A south to Vernon and take the Kamloops turn off onto Hwy 97 North, just before Vernon. O’Keefe ranch is 4km further. Founded in 1867, O’Keefe Ranch was once one of the largest cattle ranches in British Columbia, spanning over 20,000 acres of prime Okanagan land. From their humble beginnings, the O’Keefe family built up a small settlement consisting of a general store - with the first post office in the Okanagan Valley, a blacksmith shop, St. Anne’s Church built in 1889 (and still a popular wedding location) plus many other necessary ranch buildings. Today, O’Keefe Ranch is a designated BC Heritage Site and an important tourist attraction in the Okanagan Valley.
